Category Manager Printing Tools & Auxiliaries (m/f/d)

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

As the Category Manager for Printing Tools & Auxiliaries, you will lead the strategic sourcing of printing tools and auxiliary materials across our global manufacturing sites. You will drive supplier performance, cost efficiency, and innovation, ensuring alignment with technical and operational needs.

 

  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for Printing Tools & Auxiliary materials, ensuring alignment with technical teams and business units.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on performance, cost efficiency, and innovation. Negotiate contracts that reflect our values in quality, cost, and sustainability. 
  • Collaborate with R&D and Operations to support product development and technical projects. Address non-performance and non-conformance claims during and beyond the guarantee period.
  • Optimize costs through smart sourcing strategies and proactively manage risks to ensure supply chain resilience. 
  • Utilize data to drive decisions and improve procurement processes, ensuring transparency and compliance with global standards.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Completed higher education in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Economics, or relevant studies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar position (e.g. technical procurement role, or industrial printing environment), ideally in packaging or manufacturing.
  • Strong technical understanding of printing processes and materials, with a proven track record in managing global supplier portfolios and complex technical categories.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, with a collaborative mindset and analytical approach.

  • Hours: Fulltime (38.5 h/w)
  • Compensation: depending on the job-related experience & competencies, ~ 80.000 EUR gross a year (based on the collective bargain agreement of the metal industry if located in Vienna/Austria).
