QC Manager

1. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

      The Quality Control (QC) Manager establishes and maintains all quality control processes and procedures to ensure that products meet the established the specifications and quality standards.

 

2. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and oversee quality control procedures and processes for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products, ensuring their effective execution.
  • Coordinate and manage inspection activities and quality assessments for materials, in-process products, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Supervise and guide technicians, inspectors, and subordinates to ensure adherence to established quality control procedures and the quality management system.
  • Ensure that released products meet standard specifications and comply with customer requirements.
  • Interpret and apply GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 15378, FSSC 22000, and customer-specific requirements to develop and enhance quality control processes.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department to enhance product quality.
  • Manage customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and propose corrective and preventive actions. Establish improvement measures to prevent recurring quality issues and enhance product standards.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality tests, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure the product safety management system complies with food safety requirements.

3. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES

  • A bachelor degree in engineering or quality is required.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control procedures, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 15378, FSSC 22000).
  • Strong experience in packaging, printing, or the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize quality management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D, 5Why, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA to drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Leadership capabilities, with experience in managing teams, fostering a quality-driven culture, and mentoring subordinates to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in using quality metrics, statistical analysis, and digital tools for monitoring and improving quality performance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive quality initiatives effectively.
