IT Client Management Engineer
About the role:
We are looking for an IT Client Management Engineer, a specialist who will manage and support the Global Microsoft platform.
As part of the Client Management team, you will be responsible for creation, maintenance and distribution of system images, software package development, and configuration management while ensuring system security. You will also assist the service desk team in solving desktop and application issues as well as research and evaluate software and hardware technologies based on business requirements.
Your duties & responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, and Change Management processes.
- Maintain optimal health and performance of Microsoft infrastructure.
- Build and deploy desktop and laptop images to workstations.
- Manage and support device provisioning using Windows Autopilot service.
- Create packages, collections, and deployments.
- Perform application lifecycle management by regularly deploying and updating applications.
- Conduct operating system and application patch management on clients, including macOS devices.
- Manage and support enterprise-wide printing solutions.
- Participate in IT standardization and harmonization projects, particularly in client and printer migration.
- Identify, diagnose, resolve, and provide root cause analysis for automatic alerts, issues, and incidents.
- Manage and resolve incident, problem, and change request tickets.
- Provide support to Service Desk and Field Support in Client Management, collaborating with Global IT teams and assisting other IT engineers as needed.
- Reduce waiting time for technical on-site support for Constantia IT users and enhance user satisfaction with IT services.
- Meet Incident Management and requested KPIs.
- Effectively manage and share knowledge related to local IT environments.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as an IT engineer or technician.
- Proficient in client desktop support, IT operations tasks, and the administration and management of MS BitLocker.
- University degree in IT or a related technical field.
- Experience in antivirus solution administration and maintenance, as well as Windows patching using WSUS, MEMCM, and Intune.
- Skilled in administering Windows Server and macOS devices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including basic PowerShell and VB scripting, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPO.
- Basic understanding of networking, Office 365, and Microsoft Cloud products.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications for support, reporting, and documentation.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles.
- Fluent English communication skills.
