Group IT Procurement Manager

About the role:

We are looking for a Group IT Procurement Manager to manage and oversee the procurement operations at Constantia Business Services. You will be responsible for ensuring all purchasing activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and standards. As the Group IT Procurement Manager you will coordinate small operational team, develop procurement processes, and maintain contracts and licenses - mainly in IT area. Additionally, you will foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. You will collaborate closely with senior managers across Group IT, Group Finance, and Group Procurement.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Initiate and maintain supplier/vendor/service provider setup in the procurement system.
  • Develop and manage relationships with IT vendors to ensure optimal service and pricing.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.

Contract & Negotiation

  • Lead negotiations for IT hardware, software, and service contracts, including renewals and new agreements.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to review and finalize IT contracts, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions to achieve cost efficiency and value for the organization.

Procurement Operations

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for IT software, hardware, and services, including tendering, selection, and contracting.
  • Ensure timely and effective purchasing aligned with organizational policies and standards.
  • Oversee and optimize the procurement strategy for IT HW and peripherals (including low-value hardware), ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and alignment with organizational standards.

Licensing & Asset Management

  • Ensure verification, tracking, and renewal of all IT licensing and maintenance agreements.
  • Participate in IT asset management processes across hardware and software lifecycle.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to internal procurement standards, corporate guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor controls to maintain compliance with audit and risk management frameworks.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement KPI reports.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide guidance and support to the IT Procurement team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Lead team members in achieving procurement objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience: At least 5 years in procurement, ideally with a strong focus on IT hardware and software.
  • Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
  • Strategic mindset: Hands-on experience in driving value through category management and strategic sourcing approaches.
  • Technical knowledge: Solid understanding of IT licensing models and maintenance agreements.
  • Communication: Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Negotiation expertise: Strong track record in sourcing and negotiating IT products and services.
  • Contract management: Experience in negotiating software agreements and contracts with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Process know-how: Familiarity with purchase order systems and managing accounts payable processes, including invoice handling.
