Health, Safety & Environment Specialist

We are looking for an Health, Safety & Environment Specialist to ensure the implementation of health and safety standards at our factory in Düzce. The ideal candidate should have at least a Class B certificate, experience in manufacturing, and proficiency in English.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the design, machinery, equipment, and materials used in the workplace comply with occupational health and safety regulations; conduct risk assessments, determine necessary health and safety measures, and monitor their implementation.
  • Oversee the work environment, plan and control periodic maintenance, inspections, and measurements.
  • Conduct regulatory-compliant activities to prevent accidents, fires, and explosions; prepare emergency plans, and organize training and drills.
  • Plan and implement occupational health and safety training programs.
  • Investigate work-related accidents and occupational diseases, and develop preventive action plans to prevent the recurrence of hazardous incidents, while monitoring their implementation.
  • Examine all work methods, equipment, and the work environment in the workplace, providing safety recommendations to the employer; temporarily halt work in case of urgent situations.
  • Collaborate with relevant institutions and organizations with the employer's knowledge, and document findings and recommendations in an approved logbook.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Possession of at least a Class B Occupational Health and Safety Specialist certificate.
  • Proficiency in occupational safety regulations.
  • Experience as an OHS specialist in manufacturing companies.
  • Advanced knowledge of English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
