Maintenance Technician 1

• Includes the following. Other duties might be assigned:
• A member of the Maintenance Team of individuals who are multi-skilled, cross-trained on all process equipment, and self-directed within pre-established operational boundaries
• In conjunction with a team leader and other team members, perform maintenance on all production machinery on a multi-shift basis.
• Production machinery will include but is not limited to: Rotogravure printing presses, Flexographic printing presses, Coating/Laminating lines, Slitting machines, Packaging machines, etc.
• In conjunction with a team leader and other team members, perform maintenance on all auxiliary equipment on a multi-shift basis. Auxiliary equipment will include but is not limited to: Air compressors, Water coolers, Chillers, Air-handlers, Hot oil system, Oxidizer, Wash system, Ink dispensing system, Building, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment as prescribed.
• In conjunction with a team leader and other team members assist as needed in the operation of production machinery.
• In conjunction with team leader and other team members, maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the manufacturing area. Perform all cleaning as required to achieve same.
• Assists in the management of parts inventory; ordering, receiving, stocking and coordinating with vendors.
• Performs safety checks and periodic safety inspections of equipment and processes.
• Helps to comply with all applicable environmental regulations.
• Train other team members
• Recommend safety improvements, quality improvements, and efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities where applicable.
• All other duties appropriate to the position as assigned or required.

High School Diploma or GED and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
